Example 041_analyzer_analog_display circuit is an analog to digital converter example. The netlist for this example includes a Verilog behavioral description of a comparator, a gate level description of an up-down counter and user defined primitive (UDP) descriptions of JK flip-flop and D flip-flops.

The SILOS graphical user interface provides a function to control analog signal display options.

Analyzer - Analog signal display controls

  • Open analog.spjx and run the simulation.
  • Open the Analyzer window from the toolbar.
  • Select the "feedback" analog signal and expand the analog waveform.
  • Select the signal again and click the right mouse button.
  • In the context menu that appears, select Set Analog Display Options.
  • Analog waveforms can be displayed as either a Step or Piece Wise Linear (PWL) function. By default, a waveform is displayed as a PWL function.
  • Select Step to display it as a Step-based waveform.
  • For Autoscale, SILOS uses an automatically-determined minimum and maximum range for analog signals.
  • To change the scale, select User scale and set scale values for the analog signal.
