005_cell : Optimal Slopes and Loads

This example compliments SILVACO application note 4-008 "How to Define Optimal Slopes & Loads for Cell Characterization" (available on the SILVACO web site) which explains and demonstrates methods for validating and selecting an optimal set of slopes and loads for AccuCell cell characterization. Please refer to this application note for details when using this example. The example contains the same inverter and D Flip-Flop used in web example Cell_EX3 : Controlling SPICE simulations (Speed and Accuracy Options) except now the focus is not on SPICE simulator settings, but instead on optimal selection and sizing of slope and load table indexes for characterization conditions. The user is encouraged to experiment with the various seetings defined in the Cell_EX5.cfg file and plot the resulting Cell_EX5_library_sps.lib in SmartView and compare the results. A details inspection can/should be carried out in a spreadsheet program like provided in this example library_sps.lib.xls.
